CES – Croydon Community Eyecare Service

Moorfields Eye Hospital has developed a referral scheme whereby patients presenting at their GP practice with a routine eye condition can be referred to an approved Optometrist in the community.

This referral can either come from the GP, your Opticians following an eye exam or by yourself if you present with an eye condition requiring further treatment

Our Optometrists are trained to see and treat the majority of eye problems and by visiting them you will be seen more quickly than waiting for a hospital appointment. Our lead Optometrist worked at Croydon University Hospital Eye Unit for over 5 years and is experienced in seeing and treating numerous eye problems.

All appointments under the CES scheme are covered by the NHS for everyone provided you are registered with a Croydon GP.
