This is an excellent, very professional and friendly optician. I've had the best advice here that I've had for ages and my new glasses are the best yet, with a frame recommendation that means my varifocals work better than ever before. Definitely recommend them, absolutely no need to head to any of the big chain opticians.

My dad has a problem with his eye and I told him he needed a MECS appt. So he enquired with this opticiand about an appointment. He was told that he would either be contacted on Monday the 3rd of March or the 4th of March.
I asked him whether he had been seen and he said that he hadnt even got a phone call. Disgusting service from here.

First class service. A very thorough careful test is done and Paras always takes the time to listen to you, and to explain understandably what’s going on. I have a more complicated situation going on with my eyesight and Paras continues to manage this exactly to my needs. The staff in the shop are excellent too, polite, helpful, patient and again thorough. I would not go to any other opticians.

Fantastic, it's better than going to Moorfields at mayday. They really do a great job Moorfields told me I had 1 cataract and the eye centre told me I have 1 cataract in each eye. Solid through and through.

Very professional and personal service from start to finish. The team take time to listen to what you want and need, and discuss all of the options available. I didn’t feel that anyone was pushing me into a purchase at any point. Rushna was very thorough with the eye exam and explained results in detail. Gowshi was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to selecting and ordering glasses. Would definitely recommend.

Bad customer service, called early in the morning as my son was suffering from severe eye pain and redness. The male receptionist didn’t seem at all interested in considering the seriousness and said to me he will call back in an hour after speaking to an optician. He never called back, got my son booked with Specsavers instead.

Attended after making an emergency appointment. Staff presented as friendly and professional. Environment clean and modern. I was seen by Paras who was thorough and informative. A condition was identified and referral to NHS was made on my behalf after Paras discussed treatment options. I have attended other opticians in the area but The eye Centre seems to top them all. This will be my opticians from now on. Good job team, see you again in a year.

The staff were all very polite and extremely warm and welcoming. They were patient with me and took the time to explain how the the tests were done. The clinician was also kind enough to explain my eye conditions. They didn't push me to buy my prescription but just politely recommended it. The facilities were kept clean and the centre was nicely decorated.

Very competent, really good with kids and very knowledgeable. Went out of the way to find out what would work best for my young son who has complex prescription. Highly recommended. Paras is very knowledgeable and competent to deal with young children with complex prescription. Very friendly staff always eager to go out of the way to find best possible solution. Extremely bad experience.

I express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the recent experience of my child's appointment with your clinic. we had scheduled an eye appointment for my son at your facility. However, we received no prior notification that the appointment had been cancelled.

However, despite having moved out of the area, the staff at the clinic compelled us to come to the same location for the appointment.

To provide some context, it takes us approximately five hours to travel from our new location to reach your clinic. Despite having moved out of the area, we made the effort to schedule the appointment and even received a confirmation email as proof. However, while we were en route to the eye centre, we contacted your staff and were informed that our appointment had been cancelled.

The combination of the cancelled appointment and the staff's rudeness has left a lasting negative impression. We had gone through the effort of reaching out to the clinic multiple times to ensure our attendance, yet we were met with a complete disregard for our time and well-being.

Excellent experience for my daughter's first eye check. We were seen by Mrs Vaghela, a very professional, knowledgeable and caring optometrist. She made my 8 years old very comfortable as she went through every step of the examination. We would highly recommend The Eye Centre in Thornton Heath to family and friends. Paras was excellent. He is an honest optician. I been to other opticians and they all suggested that I need glasses. Paras said that my eyes are perfect. I really like they way he tested my eyes with lots of different angles. I will recommend him to everyone.

The customer experience from walking in to walking out is A***. The thourough layman’s explanation of any condition is given and also a much more holistic and contextual advice given regarding eye care management. Dispensing experience is fantastic, they spend time and make the experience personalised and genuinely involved in helping to select the right frame for me, very honest and constructive. My son has been going to the Eye Centre since he was 5 where he was referred there by Mayday Hospital after they discharged him and said he needed regular eye tests ! They are brilliant with him he is now 12 and we would never go anywhere else they always have a good range of frames for him to choose from there as

I've been going here for a few years now. First popped in when lived locally on the off chance, to see if they can sort prescription sunglasses. They are friendly, personable, quick service/delivery & professional. I live a little further away, but still return here! I would definitely recommend to friends & family. Neeral is fabulous too, she contributes to making the eye centre, the high quality it is!

I took my 7 year old for an eye test and she was put to ease from the moment we walked in. The lady at the desk attended to us promptly and in a friendly manner. The optician was also very friendly and informative. It was a great first experience and I'll be booking my eye test there too.

Excellent professional manner, from initial contact through to arrival and being seen by the optometrist Paras.

Really great consultation, talked me through everything that was happening with my eyes, took a detailed history, and most importantly (and refreshing) there was no hard sell to purchase glasses.

I was advised to come back after three months if my “problems” persisted - of which we could then consider glasses if necessary.

I would definitely recommend the eye centre to friends and family, and will certainly make a point of returning to such a lovely practice!!

10/10 doesn’t do them justice! Great service, Great people! (Real review!)
